FRIENDSHIP FLIGHT 2005 will be conducted in a Eurocopter AS 350 Ecureuil, also known in Australia and the U.K. as a Squirrel, and in the U.S. as an Astar.

The AS 350 is currently the world's most successful single turbine engine, light general-purpose helicopter. It boasts seating for 6, a cruising speed of over 230Km/h (125Kts) and a range of over 650Km. The AS 350 is renowned for it's high performance, safety and reasonable operating costs. For these reasons we feel confident in using this most popular helicopter to complete our mission, a flight from between Japan and Australia.
